We stock our own premium quality dried food and tinned wet food or if your dog is a fussy eater, diet sensitive and you would prefer to bring your dog’s regular food from home, including raw food, we have fridges and freezers to accommodate. Please bring enough to last the duration of their stay.
If your dog is on a veterinary prescription diet we ask that you supply this for the duration of their stay.
With regards to feeding frequency, we will feed your pet according to your instructions. We provide treats in the form of biscuits treats, gravy bones, bonios etc., during their stay with us please let us know on your reservation form if you would prefer us not to do so. You are of course welcome to bring all of your dog’s favourite treats and biscuits from home.
We believe a well exercised and stimulated dog is a happy dog.
With this in mind the design and functionality of our exercise and play areas here at Meddrrows Kennels are second to none! We have two securely fenced play areas to allow your dog plenty off lead exercise.
We believe that with the owner’s consent and under supervision, dogs should be allowed to socialise with other canine companions. The opportunity for dogs to mix freely together provides the perfect environment for essential socialising skills to be learnt.
For dogs that don’t mix so well we offer all the same activities but separate from other dogs. Just let us know how you would like your dog to be exercised when you make a booking
We feel it is important for our clients to come and meet us, prior to booking, to see the Kennels and meets us. If you require your dog to have a sleepover prior to his or her holiday, to make sure they are happy, that can be arranged.
Our aim is to provide each pet a loving stay with us, and to keep them safe and secure ready for your return. We hope they enjoy their holidays as much as you enjoy yours
We are a small family run dog boarding kennels and this allows us to pay more attention and care to your dog or dogs. Our kennels are manned ( sometimes womaned ) 24 hours a day, each and every day.
We pride ourselves in the amount of care and attention given to all of our boarders and treat them as if they were our own. Our intensive daily cleaning routine far exceeds regulation standards and the careful monitoring of all dogs left in our care is second to none.
All of our kennels have a raised bed and blanket included but you can have an extra blanket if needed
Mon- Fri 8am-10am & 4pm-6pm
Weekends 8am – 9am & 4pm – 5pm
All our kennels are cleaned daily with pet safe disinfectant and steam cleaned between boarders.
All dogs must be vaccinated against Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough; please note that the kennel cough vaccine is not part of your dogs annual booster and you must ask your vet to include it. All newly vaccinated dogs or renewal vaccinations must be given two weeks before arrival and a valid vaccination certificate must be provided before any dog will be accepted. It is also important that your dog has regular worm, flea and tick treatments/checks. If your dog is insured please bring insurance cards with you.
We can provide all bedding materials that your dog will need (plastic beds, vet bed and blankets) or you are more than welcome to bring your own if you wish to, if you can somehow label or mark their belongings then there is less chance of confusion in our washing system it would be very much appreciated.
We are able to administer medications including injections at no extra charge.
The day of arrival and day of departure will be charged as a full day, with your pets accommodation being available at opening times. If you need to bring your pet earlier or collect them later than these times please let us know as soon as possible and we will try our best to arrange alternative times. Please remember to bring your up to date vaccination certificates, these must be left with us every time your pet stays.
We are sorry but there will be no refund given if you collect your pet earlier than the stated departure date.
We have used Meddrrows twice now to look after our puppy Remi while we’ve been away! Absolutely brilliant, we wouldn’t ever send her anywhere else! I think she’s gutted when she has to come home! Knowing she is getting lots of love and care makes it a lot easier to leave her. Debs is so caring and friendly. Thank you x
